Mike Craig leads Jeremy McGrath at Steel City in '97
Mike Craig is a 3-time MTEG Ultracross Champion in 94' He won the Tampa 250cc Supercross. Earned fame as a Kawasaki rider in the late 80's. After years of being a Top contender He earned a Yamaha Factory ride in 1994. Mike became a mainstay on the Honda of Troy team in 1995 and in 1996.
Mike Craig, nicknamed "stingray" became the first rider to pass Jeremy McGrath in the 95' season when he forced his way around McGrath on the first lap in the San Diego Supercross. He became only the third rider to beat Jemery McGrath in a heat race by running away with the qualifier at Pontiac.He then lead the winner Jeremy MaGrath for 12 laps in the 20 lap feature main event and ended up third but claimed his fame by beating McGrath head-to-head in the earlier semi..Mike won his first supercross in 1995 in Tampa.
Now retired from racing Supercross but defiantly not out the racing scene. Mike is very dedicated to motocross, working with his son Christain Craig and students. Mike trains 7 days a week. He has several riders from beginning to expert, from 65cc up to 450's.
